The Elitewood & alumawood patio covers kits offers an array of post option affording the custom design your patio cover project. Enhance the look and feel of your patio cover kit by upgrading to columns. If you choose this option, you will not have to order post kits but will need to include the cloverleaf lock seam steel posts. These will act as the main support to the front end of the patio cover…just simply install the post and place the columns over it. Since the cloverleaf lock seam posts are installed, the columns do not need to be load bearing. If you’re unsure and need assistance , we recommend to Contact us for guidance.
The columns come in the following sizes labeled in diameter and height:
Includes a 3x3 (Aluminum) post and 2 2x6.5” foam-filled side plates. Standard post kits are included at no extra charge in each KIT. If you upgrade to columns, the post kits will be replaced by the columns add on and will add steel lock seams posts to the order.

Textured Roof Shingles are a lightweight metal, Teflon coated roofing shingle that can add an additional rooftop protection and enhance the overall appearance of the patio cover. While it’s not necessary to add roof shingles, it does add a unique and complete look that leaves an everlasting impression.
