Customer must verify and approve the above-mentioned measurements before signing this invoice and understands no changes can be made after orders have been processed for production.
Customer has three days (3) cancellation period from the date of received payment however may waive their right should they desire expedited processing and delivery. Customer acknowledges and agrees that any order cancellation once submitted for processing and after cancelation period is subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Due to the nature of the supply chain fluctuation of material costs, any issued quotes will only be valid for 30 days from the date when the original quote was issued.
FDP INC. accepts ACH bank transfers, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, debit, and credit cards. Customer acknowledges the use of PayPal, credit/debit cards will be subject to a 3.5% markup surcharge to cover processing fees. PayPal, Credit/debit card payments must be paid through the invoicing application. If you’re using Zelle or Venmo as your payment method, please be sure the product purchase does not exceed your daily transfer limitations.
Customers may have the option to purchase a do-it-yourself kit which will include all the materials required to build the patio cover as designed in the quote. Customer must verify and approve the above-mentioned quoted measurements before paying this invoice and understands that once this invoice is accepted, no changes can be made after orders have been accepted and processed and payment in full will be due on delivery day. Customer acknowledges that this order is a custom cut prefabricated "Do it Yourself Kit" (DIY) to order and no changes can be made once the materials have been ordered. The intent for the DIY kit is for the homeowner to install it themselves by owner/builder and/or hire a state licensed contractor for installation. Factory Direct Patios Inc. will not be responsible and/or associated with the building of the patio cover and strongly urges homeowner to obtain the necessary HOA approvals and city and/or county building permits if applicable prior to installing the patio cover. Customer must be at the delivery site at the time of arrival to approve the condition, and sign for the materials. Once the materials are loaded and departed from the factory, it's understood that there will be no refunds under any circumstances.
Unless otherwise requested, by default, all patio cover kits ordered will meet 110 mph exposure “B” winds ratings with a 10lb snow/live loads. However, if your location/project requires a higher wind exposure or live load rating you must check the correct wind speed, snow/live load box accordingly prior to submitting your quote request or order. Any person submitting a patio cover kit order and making the required payment certifies that the wind speed and snow/live load requirements of the project site city or county’s building and safety departments has been ascertained, acknowledged, and fully understood prior to the purchase of the patio cover kit. Customer acknowledges Factory Direct Patios Inc. will customize the patio cover kit up to 130mph Exposure “C” accordingly but also understand it’s the customers responsibility to provide the correct wind/live load information of your local building department requirements upon purchase.
All patio cover kits are custom made to order for each individual customer specifications. Factory Direct Patios Inc. does not offer refunds or returns on any materials full or in part.
Materials may be picked up by the customer at the closest factory location with no charge or may opt to have the materials delivered to the project site within our approved regional locations. Delivery fees may vary between $350.00 - $850.00 depending on the distance and size load transported. The materials will be professional packaged with plastic wrap and cardboard corners to prevent and damage during the loading and transporting process. A documented quality control inspection is conducted before and after materials are loaded for transport to ensure damage free products are being delivered. Customers who opt for the delivery service must be home to off load, and sign for received product. Delivery personnel may help with the off load and will do it with care however, customer acknowledges at no time will the delivery personnel, the manufacture, or Factory Direct Patio's Inc., will be responsible for any damage that may occur during offloading process. All material is custom made to order and typically are ready for pick up between (7-10) days from the receipt of the order verification report date. However, while infrequent, adverse weather conditions and/or supply chain backorders may cause delays.
Unless delivery services have been arranged, it’s the customer’s responsibility for material pick up and arrive with a vehicle suitable to transport construction materials. This could be a full-sized pickup truck with an overhead rack, a box or flatbed trailer or a combination thereof. Please do not arrive and enter the manufacture yard with any underaged children. Customers should arrive with transport rachet straps, packaging tape, material, and trailering flags. Customers should wear appropriate safety clothing, close-toed shoes and should use gloves when handling the materials. It will be the customer’s responsibility to inspect the order for missing parts and/or damage as once the order departs from the manufacturer location, the customer has accepted the order as it was given. Factory Direct Patios Inc. offers a building permit processing service that adds a valuable time-saving convenience. The service includes all document processing to the local planning and building and safety departments including, applications, plot plan preparation, highlighted engineering, any corrections, and all necessary documents to successfully process your permit ready project. Please note this only a processing service and you will be required to pay the permit fee directly to your local building authority. Building permit fees vary between cities and counties so it’s recommended to contact your building departments to determine the permit fees for your project. The permit will be issued to the homeowner as an owner builder of the project. It’s clearly understood that customer is responsible for the building the structure and Factory Direct Patios Inc., its employee, directors, or officers will not be responsible for the build of the project and/or liable for any violations whatsoever. If customer opts to use this service, it’s a $475.00 service/processing fee. If the project requires an additional approval from the county/city Fire Department Authority as a condition of the city permit application, an additional service/processing fee of $150.00 will apply.
Standard engineering is included with your standard patio cover kit. The engineering outlines load and seismic limitations, roofing span tables, rafters, beams, posts, and connection details that enable a sound design and build guidance of your patio cover kit. If you are purchasing a kit requiring base plates and/or roof mount brackets, you will receive that engineering for those components as well. Provided the patio cover kit is build as per engineering specifications, the patio cover should be able to with stand wind speeds between 95 – 130 MPH windspeeds. The kit includes full engineering for the following states: Arizona, California, and Nevada.
If you would like to have your engineering plans highlighted, you may opt to order the patio cover kit with highlighted engineering for $150.00. This service will deliver your engineering with a wide verity quick and easy references to the assembly of the patio cover kit. In addition, it will satisfy the engineering highlight requirement when applying for a building permit. Highlighting features such as general notes, all components used, as well as post spacing, screws and fastener spacings, concrete footing dimensions, roof table spans, eave mount table spans, structural configurations, and component connection details.
Advanced custom projects such as Live Load Decks, Gable and Hip style roofing and specialize lattice projects may require site specific engineering to satisfy city building permit requirements in obtaining a building permit. Site specific engineering is specific to the structure and project location and costs are specific to the individual project. Because site specific engineering is custom and specific to your project and location, there is no set fee available and is not included in any quote unless it's specifically included in a line item of the quote. However, we do provide a separate site-specific engineering preparation service. Please note there’s a lead time for this engineering preparation and you should acquire this before you order the materials…this will ensure the most accurate material quote. Because we are interacting with technology and providing instant pricing using sophisticated software and complex pricing matrix, while infrequent should we encounter software malfunctions within our design software and instant pricing matrix portal that produces an error and/or an incorrect price, we reserve the right to refund the purchase in full without any further obligations. If any such event occurs, you will be notified; we will attempt to make the corrections. However, if corrections cannot be made a full refund will be issued and the order will be canceled.
This fan beam serves as a support for a ceiling fan and provides a conduit for wiring. Made with aluminum and measures 2″ x 3″ x .070″; the fan beams are in the middle of the 4’ foot-wide roof panel and runs the entire length. Since its internal, the fan beam will not be visible from above or below. The fan beam serves a couple of function which includes support for the ceiling fan and a conduit for wiring the and any lighting. If your project includes fans and/or lights, you will want to order your kit with fan beams accordingly.
Please Note: By default, fan beams are ordered in the center of the roof panel unless you request different fan beam placement.
The non-insulated fan beam is 2”X 2” inch square extruded aluminum tube positioned on top of the roof panel, attached to the rolled form ledger on the house, and extending the header beam. A fan beam cover cap is added over the fan beam and roof panel. This combination provide support for the fan and protects the fan and electrical components from the elements and prevents water intrusion. For led lighting, only the fan beam covers are used to protect the wiring from the elements and water intrusion. If your project includes fans and/or lights, you will want to order your kit with fan beams covers accordingly.
Please Note: Fans, lighting and wiring are not included in your kit. Do not use indoor fans…you should purchase outdoor, wet/damp rated fans. The recommended 6” Led lights are available and can be found on the accessories page. If you plan includes adding electrical to your project plans but are not qualified with electrical knowledge, it’s recommended that you hire a qualified and licensed electrician
